LG Electronics has released the Flatron MU-42PZ15B, a 42-inch plasma display that measures 3.2 inches wide and weighs 72.2 pounds. It offers wide VGA (852x480) resolution, a 16:9 screen ratio, a 160-degree viewing angle, 620cd/m2 brightness and a 650:1 contrast ratio. The display incorporates Faroudja DCDi (Directional Correlation Deinterlacing) technology, digital comb filter, auto sound leveler and an ISM feature for minimizing image burn. It also features picture-in-picture, still image and DRP (Digital Reality Picture) functions and RS232 control. The display accepts both analog and SD (Standard Definition) digital signals and supports HD, DVD and DTV signals. The MU-42PZ15B is available now.
